Eric North has represented the interests
of credit unions as an attorney for more than twenty years. A shareholder
with the law firm of Moore Brewer Jones Tyler and North, with offices in
Southern California, Northern California, and Texas, Eric is licensed to
practice before state and federal courts in California and before the Ninth
Circuit Court of Appeals. Eric, like the other attorneys at his firm,
devotes his legal practice to the representation of credit unions in matters
relating to litigation and compliance. He regularly litigates cases in
federal and state courts, and has appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals, but he also counsels credit unions in ways to avoid litigation.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Eric worked within the consumer
finance industry
in management, and in lending, collections, and operations departments. In
addition to maintaining a legal practice, working in cooperation with the
NorthWest Credit Union Collectors Association, other state and local credit
union leagues and associations, and CUNA, Eric has helped train thousands of
credit union employees and lawyers from across the country to learn, comply
with, and understand the many state and federal laws that govern them
through local seminars, monthly NorthLegal Webinars, and annual NorthLegal
Conferences. Eric and his firm also sponsor CULAW.COM, an Internet site
providing credit unions with links to legal resources and to a list of
upcoming educational programs.

Marilyn Grey was born in Portland Oregon
in a year somewhat prior to the current one. Despite behavior and
appearance to the contrary, she was raised as a human being. She graduated
from Central Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a
Master's Degree in School Psychology. Marilyn went on to teach high school
for one remarkably unsuccessful year. Next she became a school
psychologist. She first worked with school children and later with adults in
a Wellness and Employee Assistance Program. During this time she began
teaching at the University level. Additionally Marilyn began
speaking for any group who had not carefully read their agenda and believed
her to be part of the event. Gradually she was able to insert her own
name in the program and has spoken before more than a million people across
the United States, Canada and Australia. Whether speaking on Laughter,
Change or Stress Management she is her own best audience, always finding
herself entertaining. Others are reported to join her in that reaction but
remember the report is hers. Marilyn has written a book, gone hot air
ballooning, plays golf and bridge, and practices nonsense of all kinds.
She is an astonishing success in her own eyes and is having a world of fun
being alive on this planet.
